we are

MPK Designs was created in 2023 by Mike Karberg to offer hand crafted wood furniture and millwork to the Chicagoland area at prices that are approachable and accessible.

From the Builder

Growing up in Galena, IL, I learned everything I know from my father. He is a true master craftsman and has spent his professional life honing his skills and passing that knowledge on to his children.

Having spent the last 18 years in various industries such as television, hospitality, whisk(e)y & spirits sales and construction, I started building small projects for our home as a hobby and to re-discover my love for wood working. That really was the catalyst for creating MPK Designs.

With the support of my wife Antonia, we decided to pursue MPK Designs with the intention of growing this from small projects to larger scale designs and undertakings.

We want to offer our skills to both private customers as well as businesses, specializing in assisting bars and restaurants by creating custom millwork at approachable prices.

We are very excited for the future and the potential MPK Designs has to establish itself as a trusted builder and partner for both businesses and individual homes.
